Pump sets for sprinkler

Rapid fire control with a sprinkler system

A sprinkler installation is in stand-by mode 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. A sprinkler installation is intended to control or extinguish a starting fire. A sprinkler installation will automatically activate in the event of a fire. The same goes for the pump set of the installation: the Firepack. You must be able to rely on that the fire pump will start functioning immediately, in the event of a fire.

Sprinklers are an effective, reliable method to protect buildings, goods and people against the risks of fire. WB Firepacks helps you to determine the most economically and technically justified solution for your situation. We do this on the basis of a number of parameters:

  • What environment is the installation situated in?
  • Which specifications apply?
  • What pressure is preferred?
  • What flow is preferred?
  • Hoe is de watervoorziening (onder toeloop- of zuigcondities)?
  • Is there a drive preference?

We provide a complete line of diesel and electric motor-driven fire extinguishing pump units, also known as Firepacks. They were designed, constructed and tested in accordance with national and international directives.

End suction

In case of a fire in a residential flat, apartment building, tall office building, or skyscraper, the fire department will not be able to fully extinguish the fire from the ground floor. In this case, the Multiple-outlet pump is the best solution for safeguarding fire security. The implementation of a Multiple-outlet pump means only one pump set (with several pressure nozzles) is needed for the entire building. The result is a substantial reduction in required space and cost, allowing additional surface area to be used for other purposes. In most cases, the electrical motor is preferred due to noise sound requirements.

Splitcase

WB Firepacks builds diesel and electrically powered Firepacks with various pumps. A Firepack equipped with a Splitcase pump is a common variety, partly due to the fact that this pump can transfer large quantities of water and is in optimum hydraulic balance. Environments that often use a Splitcase pump are distribution centres, logistics environments, or production facilities.

Vertical shaft

A Vertical shaft pomp is used in location where the water level is below the centre-line of the pump. US regulations in particular prohibit the use of pumps under suction conditions, in which cases a diesel or electromotor powered Vertical shaft pump can be used. The Vertical shaft pump is also often used in locations that do not have enough space for a water tank, or where the Firepack is mounted on a pier over a canal or river.
